Gregor McDonald is a CFP licensee/CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER located in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada. He has been a Mutual Fund sales representative since 1992 and a CFP licensee since 1998.

Three levels of service provided depend entirely on client need.

Products: The first level is simply the supply of a financial product such as mutual fund, insurance and GIC etc., keeping in mind the most important thing is that the right product be chosen for the right reason. Many clients don't want to get into a great deal of financial planning lecturing when they are controlling the issues of how much to buy for themselves.

RRSP / Pension Administration: This service is for those clients that would like to treat their RRSP as it were a pension plan and make contributions to their plan based on need. We would set the plan using assumptions as to inflation, rate of return (default 7%), income required at retirement etc., we then determine the funding required to fulfill the retirement objective and monitor it with annual reviews.

Financial Planning: A complete and comprehensive financial plan with full disclosure of financial information such as household spending, insurance coverage and income verification, this process reveals a great deal to those clients that complete it. As I state in the Financial Planning section of this site the process that I use places as much emphasis on today's lifestyle choices as tomorrow's planning needs. It actually goes further in allowing clients to discover for themselves which planning strategy will work best for any number of specific situations. It is perfectly suited to determining what to do with the family cottage or whether to donate art to a charity or even whether or not to do an estate freeze.
